About

June Thomson Morris

Storytelling has been at the heart of my career—whether through journalism, marketing, public relations, or video production.

I’ve spent years mastering the art of crafting compelling narratives and leading creative initiatives, always blending strategy, creativity, and a results-driven approach.

I earned my master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a dual undergraduate degree in Broadcasting and Political Science from the University of Florida. My early career took me across the country as an anchor and reporter, working in newsrooms from small towns to major networks like NBC and ABC. Along the way, I covered national live reports, produced award-winning special features, and earned regional Emmy Awards and Press Club honors for my work.

Today, I use my storytelling expertise to produce impactful videos for The Allen Morris Company and develop marketing content for nonprofit organizations in South Florida. My passion for civic and philanthropic work has led me to serve in leadership roles, including founding Friends of Gables High, where I support Coral Gables Senior High School. I’ve also had the privilege of serving on numerous boards, including:

• Coral Gables Museum Board of Directors
• Coral Gables Economic Development Board (One term as Chairman)
• National Christian Foundation Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Board

In addition, I’ve been actively involved in the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), leading award-winning events that have made a lasting impact. I also spent a few years at Baptist Health South Florida, a seven-hospital system, where my video content played a role in launching the Patient Care Channel. In 2025 I was honored to receive the Civic Arts Award from the Coral Gables Museum for my philanthropy.

My love for storytelling extends beyond journalism and marketing. Most recently, I wrote Greetings from Paradise, a stage play celebrating the rich history of early Miami and Coral Gables. The play has been selected as the marquee event for the City of Coral Gables and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce’s Centennial Celebration in April 2025, which is a true honor and a testament to my love for this community.
